The FOLP Board has been working with the Department of Parks and Recreation and identified a priority list of improvements for Lafayette Park. There are numerous capital (walkways, running track, new recreation center) and maintenance (drainage, tennis courts, ball fields) items being considered. Council Member Bowser is committed to helping us get funding from DC DPR for our plan.
Our next step is to make a presentation to our advisory neighbohood commission (ANC). Council Member Bowser also suggested we form a Master Plan Task Force.
