Membership
The FOLP Board has a goal of having 200 members contribute $50 in form of annual membership each year. We are fairly close to that goal, with average annual membership of 155 over the last 3 years.
With your donations we are able to provide the following.
- Sand for the tot lot
- Purchase plants or replace trees
- Landscaping/gardens
- Maintain tennis courts
- General park maintenance
Membership fees are our primary source of revenue and we exercise discretion in terms of how these funds are used. We rely on volunteers to help us keep our costs down and generally speaking we are able to keep a reasonable reserve and accomplish a fair amount.
We also rely on our neighbors to donate time and materials to help us achieve our beautification goals. Many of the most striking elements of the park landscape have been sourced from donors like the Casey Foundation and planted by volunteers from our community. We welcome your continued support and thank you for helping us in our effort to preserve the treasure that is Lafayette Park.
